“30 for 30” Update and End of Year Changes

A 30 FOR 30 Update
Our 30 for 30 Technology Campaign was launched last week. We have now raised 8000 euros toward the 30.000 euros that we need in order to do a complete technology overhaul. What can you do to help?

Please pray that people will give toward this urgent need.
Check the ICSV Facebook page for new video clips that are being posted every couple of days. Share these with your family and friends. (You can also follow icsvschool on Twitter or Instagram to receive these updates automatically.)
Please make a donation by bank transfer to:
Account Holder: Hilfsverein der Internationalen Christlichen Schulen
Bank Name: Bankhaus Krentschker
IBAN: AT41 1952 0018 0009 3849
BIC/Swift: KRECAT2GXXX

The student body and all the staff are super excited about getting a projector in every room, new teacher computers, new computers in the high school computer lab, a portable laptop cart, and increased internet capabilities. These changes will allow us to use more student-centric learning options. Please pass the word so that we can reach our goal by June 30! Thank you.

End of School Year Changes
The ICSV faculty and staff are what make this school so special. “We are so blessed at ICSV as a family. We feel the love, care and support in all areas of our lives. We really thank God and appreciate you all for what you’ve done and are doing in our lives.” This comment came from the Parent Survey, indicating this parent’s appreciation for the amazing staff here at ICSV. On Tuesday, May 17, the ICSV School Board held a staff appreciation dinner for all staff and their families. In particular, individuals who will be leaving ICSV and those who have served for numerous years were honored for their dedication to the school.

The following individuals have served ICSV for five years: Daniela Ambroz, Emilia Baldovska, Lou Dakins, Tracy Harvey, Jessica Johnson, April Leinich, Rebecca Martin, Lydia Anugerah, Hil Sanchez, Danijela Sanjic, and Dr. Katharina Werner. Brian Reynolds and Brian and Pearl Williams have been here for ten years, while Barbara Dax and Wolf Paul have been involved at ICSV for 15 years.

Numerous people will also be leaving ICSV this year in order to follow God’s leading to new areas of ministry. Please express your appreciation to Veronika Eyb, Brian and Malory Kornelis, Jessica Johnson, Rebecca Martin, Faisal Matin, Cynde Morgan, Jeffrey and Lisa Schra, Daniel Sims, and Monica Wegrostek for all that they have meant to us at ICSV. April Leinich has already started her maternity leave, as well. Some will be staying here in Vienna but pursuing other interests. Several will be returning to their passport countries. They will all be greatly missed, as their impact in the lives of the students and families has been extensive.

As we continue to hire new staff members, we will introduce them to you. Two people that will be joining the administrative team are Natasha Madu, Finance and Human Resources Manager, and Benjamin Hummel, High School Principal and IB Coordinator. Natasha Madu will begin July 1 in her new role. Benjamin Hummel will be arriving in Vienna mid-July with his wife, Sarah, and two children. Please refer to the articles below for more information about these new administrators.

Because of His Faithfulness,

Sharon C. Brobst, Ed.D.
Director

Ben Hummel–High School Principal and IB Coordinator
Ben Hummel joins us after working for 10 years in public schools in “Chicago-land” in Illinois. He is a former History Teacher, Head Wrestling Coach, and Academic Dean. In the role of Academic Dean, Ben had the opportunity to work with over 700 students, collaborate as a Department Liaison, and evaluate teachers. Before Ben began his career in education, Ben attended Northwestern Iowa College pursuing History and Political Science majors, continuing on to pursue a Master’s in Teaching from National Louis and a Master’s in School Improvement Leadership from Olivet Nazarene. Ben is being joined by his wife Sarah, and their two boys, Harrison (age 7) and Alexander (age 5), who will be attending the school this fall. Outside of school, Ben enjoys time with his family, watching sports games, playing softball with his championship team, or planning vacation experiences for his family. Ben is looking forward to his new role at ICSV, especially getting to connect with the students and families and joining the wonderful community here.

Natasha Madu–Finance and Human Resources Manager
Natasha Madu is in her third year of working at ICSV as the Staff Accountant. She has also served as our Human Resources professional, handling payroll and personnel responsibilities. Natasha also has two years of administrative experience and five years experience working in financial and investment services. She earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU Wien). Natasha is married to her husband Chidi. Together they have five children, with three of them currently attending ICSV. Her fourth will join our primary class in August. Natasha states that she is greatly honored to have been given the opportunity to continue the incredible legacy that Jeffrey Schra is leaving behind as the Finance Manager of ICSV. She is anticipating with excitement the job ahead of her.
