Substitute Teacher


ICSV is currently looking for Substitute Teachers to round out the team. The Substitute Teacher at ICSV is responsible for providing coverage when regular teachers are unable to work.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans
  • Oversee classroom activities
  • Take attendance
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom and a positive learning environment
  • Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature
  • Maintain a personal appearance that models cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and is in agreement with the school policy


  • At least a Bachelor’s degree (or: working towards a degree or experience working with students)
  • Good command of verbal and written English
  • Proficiency in German is a plus
  • Background in Education highly preferred

  • Willing to honor and uphold all standards outlined in the Faculty Handbook

Learning Support Teacher



ICSV is currently seeking a qualified Learning Support Teacher for the 2020/2021 school year. 

The primary responsibility of the teacher is to carry out professional duties within assigned classes. He/She will be in charge of day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the students while promoting the aims and objectives of the school.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Ed
  • Current ACSI certificate 
  • Background in English as a second language is a plus
  • Teaching experience/training in the US system preferred
  • State or national teacher certification preferred
  • Overseas/Cross-cultural experience preferred
  • Prior classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Proficiency or basic knowledge in German (A1) is highly preferred
  • Be in full agreement with the following ICSV statements: Mission Statement, Core Values Statement, Doctrinal Statement, Statement of Educational Philosophy, Faculty Handbook
