2024-2025 Annual Report
36 ADVANCEMENT AND ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Advancement The Advancement department worked on several projects to enhance our school’s brand and communication efforts. We published the ICSV Brand Guidelines to staff to ensure that all documents, merchandise, and marketing materials cohesively represent our school. We support teachers and staff in implementing the guidelines, presenting brand components during All Staff Meetings, providing easy access to brand materials online, and collaborating with individual departments to update internal documents. The result of the collaboration led to new recruitment brochures, high-quality multimedia productions, and other marketing initiatives. The team is looking forward to continuing its work in building up a recognizable school brand in line with the Strategic Plan. We will continue to raise awareness, share our mission, vision, and core values through storytelling, and highlight our offerings on various online and offline platforms. Alumni Events and Activities Throughout the year, the ICSV Alumni Association has hosted several events to foster ongoing relationships with alumni in Austria, including a Christmas dinner, an intimate Vienna Christian School (VCS) dinner, and the annual summer reunion in June. All events were well-attended, allowing alumni from classes of 1994 to 2025 to reconnect with one another. Graduates residing in Austria, Germany, the US, the UK, South Korea, and the Netherlands attended the events. At the Christmas dinner, we introduced Mr. Seppie Myburgh to the alumni community, accompanied by musical performances. The VCS dinner allowed us to learn about the school’s history, share new developments at ICSV, and share fond memories with alumni who graduated prior to 2010. At the Summer Reunion, we welcomed the Class of 2025 to the community, providing a space for them to connect with fellow graduates. We enjoy seeing the impact that teachers have on students. This year, several alumni and former staff visited the school to greet their former teachers and colleagues and tour the school building. Alumni also had wonderful opportunities to give back and connect with current students by serving as panel speakers at the Secondary Chapel, sharing their working experiences during Career Day, and participating in the sports- themed Coffeehaus. The ICSV Alumni Association continues to grow and is enthusiastic about future possibilities for supporting one another and giving back to the school. Alumni Survey Celebrations A recent ICSV alumni survey was conducted to evaluate the overall satisfaction of students with their past ICSV experiences and the school’s current level of alumni communication. The last survey was conducted in 2022. Survey questions prompted respondents to provide feedback on the role ICSV played in their personal and social development, preparing them for academic studies and life after school, as well as their perceptions on the school’s improvement in its course offerings, programs, services and reputation. The data points below are of relevance: • Alumni continue to appreciate the rich cultural diversity of ICSV and the family-like atmosphere makes for an enjoyable learning experience. • Teachers remain an inspirational resource in the lives of students past and present. • ICSV is seen as very effective in helping students get along with people whose beliefs are different than their own, but could improve on providing direction towards future studies and career paths as well as developing their problem-solving skills. • Based on their knowledge, alumni rated a low score for seeing improvement in the campus facility, but saw the most significant improvement in ICSV’s social media presence. To serve our alumni community, the Alumni Association will continue to utilize social media and the website to stay connected with them. With the progress of the building project, ICSV will not only have improved campus facilities, but will also continue to collaborate with students and parents to prepare students for life after high school.
