Case Statement 2026
Foreword In 1986, a small group of missionary families gathered in Vienna with a bold vision: to bring the hope of Jesus to Europe through Christian education. With the Iron Curtain still dividing the continent, these families used Vienna as their strategic base to spread the Gospel throughout Eastern Europe. When they needed an education for their children, they didn’t just start a school—they planted a seed of hope that would flourish for generations. Forty years later, that seed has become a thriving oak. Through miracles, provision, and multiple relocations, God has faithfully sustained ICSV. What began with 25 students in a borrowed church building has grown into Austria’s only K-12 English-speaking Christian school offering both the American High School Diploma and the International Baccalaureate. We now serve families from over 65 nations, and our alumni are making a difference in more than thirty countries worldwide. Today, we stand at a defining moment in our history. After years of faithful prayer and diligent planning, we have purchased the adjacent property, completed the rezoning, secured the building permit, and broken ground. Construction is underway. The Building Hope Project is no longer a dream—it is happening. This new facility will transformwhat we can offer: expanded academic programs with state-of-the-art STEM labs, dedicated spaces for our growing arts and athletics programs, and a multipurpose venue that will serve as a hub for Christian fellowship throughout Austria. But more than that, it represents our commitment to the next forty years of bringing Christ-centered education to Vienna and beyond. The timing is providential. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are given the extraordinary opportunity to honor God’s faithfulness to those who pioneered this work, celebrate what He is doing in this generation, and invest in the future leaders who will carry this mission forward. This is your invitation to be part of something eternal. The foundation has been laid—literally and spiritually. Now we need partners who will join us in completing what God has started. Your investment in the Building Hope Project will not only construct a building; it will shape lives, strengthen families, and extend the reach of the Gospel to nations we cannot yet imagine. Will you join us to build hope for the next generation? Siebert J. Myburgh School Director International Christian School of Vienna 3
