When you think of missions, western Europe probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind. Most people think of Vienna more as a vacation spot than a mission field. Yet it is a city that desperately needs the gospel.
While Austria is a predominantly Catholic nation, it continues to see church attendance decline, and some polls put the number of evangelical Christians in Austria at less than 5%. Austria needs to hear the gospel of salvation.
The mission of ICSV is to reach the nations within the walls of our school. With almost 50 nations represented amongst our student population, we enroll children from all walks of life, and many who are not Christians. The staff at ICSV share the gospel with their students every day.
In addition to this, the school serves the missions community in Vienna by providing a place where other missionaries can send their children. Many of these missionaries tell us they wouldn’t be able to stay on the field without ICSV.
ICSV serves a vital role in Vienna through its ministry to the children in our school building, and also by supporting the missions community in and around the city. Come and serve with us!
