Dear ICSV Parents:
The busy month of May is upon us, and excitement is in the air. I hope you had a chance to come out to the high school play last weekend. This extremely talented group of students did an amazing job. I love the message of the show, which is the same as the title “You Can’t Take It with You.” It reminds us that our time on earth is short and requires us to think about how we are spending that time. Are we using our time for earthly gain, which we cannot take with us, or do we have other priorities in our life, such as spending time in fellowship with each other, that guide our decisions? What really is the main purpose of our time on earth? This is one of the big questions that we all need to wrestle with at some point in our lives. A huge thanks to the cast, crew, and directors of the show for making of think, and also for making us laugh.
Our next Fine Arts event will take place on Friday, May 20, at 6:30 pm in the multi-purpose room. Please join us for our Spring Choir Concert. I mention this event because I’d like to invite you to a Parent Meeting prior to the Spring Concert, starting at 5:30 pm in the Library. Last week I was able to share with you highlights from the Parent Survey. A number of parents expressed interest in attending a parent meeting, so if you would be interested in hearing more details of the survey, please join us. There will be a time for questions at the end, and we will be sure to finish up no later than 6:15 pm so that we can then attend the Spring Concert. We trust that having this on the same night as another event will allow you to attend both without having to make two trips!
As always, should you have a question or concern, feel free to contact your child’s teacher, their principal, or any administrator. We count it a privilege to partner with you in the education of your children. I hope to see you at 5:30 pm on Friday, May 20, in the Library.
Because of His Faithfulness,
Sharon C. Brobst, Ed.D.
