Middle & High School
Welcome to Secondary School
ICSV is a school of countless opportunities, and it is my privilege to introduce you to our secondary team. When given a chance, I am happy to share about our secondary teachers and staff who go above and beyond in order to provide our students with the best learning experiences possible. Our teachers create meaningful, yet engaging projects and activities to challenge their students to gain core knowledge and to develop 21st century skills like critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.
ICSV’s individualized approach to education enables teachers to look for the best approach to learning in order to address the unique learning needs of each child. I often see our students become motivated and inspired to pursue a certain field of study later in life because of the learning experiences they have received at ICSV. The school’s strong standardized test results and the number of graduates who enroll in universities around the world testify to the high quality of education that ICSV provides.
Besides the strong academic program, our team puts effort into building friendly, yet professional, relationships with their students. It is common to see teachers playing sports outside with the students or chatting with them in the hallways during breaks, after school, or over lunch. Our teachers are devoted to helping the students grow in all areas of their lives.
ICSV provides our students with a safe and caring environment, together with numerous opportunities for social-emotional and spiritual formation. We have chapels and Bible classes, and we organize events like praise nights, spiritual emphasis week, and take students on class trips for bonding and team-building. ICSV has its own Student Government Association where high school students practice and develop their leadership abilities. We also have various events throughout the year for students to participate in like coffeehouses for high school and family festivals for all of the students and their families where we celebrate different cultures represented in our community.
Overall, we have around 65 countries represented in our student body and 19 countries represented in our staff. We are truly a diverse community that celebrates our differences while seeking unity. And that in itself teaches us all to listen well and to understand each other better.
Our secondary team is happy to welcome you to our ICSV community where everyone is valued and empowered with truth and knowledge through learning, social, and spiritual experiences.
Sincerely,
Ms. Maria Mylko,
Secondary Principal
