New Student Information
What to bring for on your First Day of School
Two (2) photos for School IDs. If you have not provided these yet, please bring two passport-sized photos of your child on the First Day of School for your child’s school ID and student file. This will allow us to prepare the ID in advance. If this is not possible, you are welcome to bring the photos on the first day of school and drop them off at the school reception.
Preparing for a successful first day of school
It’s natural to have first-day-of-school jitters and nerves. Our Admissions team, teachers, and students will work together to make your first day of school memorable and smooth.
While Elementary students will be introduced to their homeroom teachers, we have a buddy system for secondary students. When you arrive at school, one person from your class will help you navigate around the school, access your locker, show you different classrooms, and make you feel welcomed at ICSV.
To help you best prepare for your first day, it’s recommended that you prepare the supply list items and tech requirements (Grades 6-12) by the first week of school.

Course Description
Step into School Life
The best way to get to know a school is by joining various activities. From sports to after-school clubs and musicals, there are many opportunities to get to know teachers and make friends from different grades. As a school, we encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities. We believe they foster meaningful connections between students and teachers, allowing for effective learning in the classroom.
Elementary After School Care Program
Parent Communication
Your involvement in your child’s learning can contribute to their academic success. The level and frequency of parent-teacher communication will depend on the child’s learning progress, grade level, and teacher. Additionally, Parent-Teacher Conferences take place at least once a year in the Fall.
As an ICSV parent, you will have access to PowerSchool to check in on your child’s attendance, classwork, and grade progress. We use Google Classroom to share course resources, assignments, and deadlines with secondary students. Families are also informed about classroom activities and upcoming events through our weekly Eagle newsletter.
Information about accessing your PowerSchool and Google Classroom accounts will be available on the first day of school.
